Carrie Wass

   MANVILLE — Carrie (Yeskevich) Wass died Tuesday, Jan. 1, at home. She was 81.
   Born in Mahanoy City, Pa., she lived in Manville for the past 48 years.
   Mrs. Wass was a former employee of Diehls Corporation in Bridgewater and had been employed as a driver with Somerset Transportation in Bridgewater at the time of her death.
   She was a communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
   She was a member of the Manville Senior Citizens Club.
   Her husband, Michael W. Wass Sr., who was Manville Police Chief at the time of his death in 1985; and a son, Sgt. Michael W. Wass Jr., a member of the Hillsborough and Readington Township Police forces at the time of his death in 1999.
   Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Hedrick of Manville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Jan. 5, at Fucillo and Warren Funeral Home, Manville, followed by a funeral liturgy at Christ the King Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.Memorial donations may be made to the Manville P.B.A. No. 236, P.O. Box 36, Manville 08835.
