No name plate for committeeman

Township Committeeman Tony Gwiazdowski asked why he was without a name plate on the committee’s dais during Tuesday’s meeting.
"I was elected on Nov. 6. my votes were tabulated by Nov. 10, so I’m a little hurt that I don’t have a name plate," he said.
Township Clerk Gail McKane indicated that the name plate was ordered and should arrive soon.
MUA seats filled

The Township Committee appointed Robert McCray and Dave Milkosky to the Hillsborough Municipal Utilities Authority. Mr. McCray was appointed to a full five year term while Mr. Milkosky was appointed to finish the unexpired three year term of Jerry Haimowitz, who is moving to Flemington.
Township Committeeman Tony Gwiazdowski opposed the appointment of Mr. Milkosky due to the fact that he is employed by the township’s accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
"I perceive a conflict of interest here," said Mr. Gwiazdowski.
Mayor Joseph Tricarico, however, expressed that in his view there was no conflict of interest since the HTMUA is an autonomous body that is not part of the township directly.
"You’re comments are duly noted," the mayor said to Mr. Gwiazdowski.
