   The Governor’s School of the Arts provides gifted student artists with a totally unique
learning experience that goes far beyond what they would ordinarily receive in high school without duplicating
what they expect to receive in college. Applicants must apply through their high school, not directly to
the Governor’s School of the Arts, during the early fall of their junior year in high school. The program
consists of five divisions: creative writing, dance, music, theater, and visual arts. Applications for the
summer are processed the previous fall and winter.
