Julius Osowick

   Julius J. Osowick, 73, died Monday, Feb. 11, at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, Pa.
   Born in Port Jervis, N.Y., he lived in Lawrence since 1968.
   He graduated in 1955 from the Albany College of Pharmacy at Union University, Schenectady, N.Y. He retired in 1998 as director of manufacturing for Carter Wallace Inc. in Cranbury after 30 years. He formerly worked with Sterling Drug Co. of Albany.
   He was a member of the American Pharmaceutical Association, American Chemical Association, National Association of Accountants and Lawrence Senior Citizens Club 5. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and served in the 8th Infantry Division as a combat medic. He received the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry and Combat Medic badge and the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.
   Son of the late Alexander and Katherine Dudko Osowick, he is survived by his wife, Patricia Fox Osowick; a daughter and son-in-law, Anine D. and Eric Rusecky of Hamilton; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark J. and Melinda Osowick of Columbus, Ind.; a granddaughter; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Thomas and Kathleen Osowick and Alexander Osowick; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and John Ritzel, all of Port Jervis; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral will be 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road.
   There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Ann. Burial will be in Lawrenceville Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the funeral home.
