Pipe organ builder
Robert F. Hamer of Princeton Borough died Monday at Princeton Nursing Home. He was 78.
Born in Trenton, he was a Princeton resident most of his life.
He was a pipe organ builder for 45 years, retiring from Church Organ Co. in Edison in 1993.
He was an avid model airplane builder and was a member of Washington Crossing Free Flight Club.
He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, serving in England from 1943 to 1945.
Father of the late Michael F. Hamer, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Catherine Hamer; daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Gregory Kazmierczak of Hillsborough; sons and daughter-in-law Robert F. Hamer Jr. of Newtown, Pa., and Gregory F. and Susan Hamer of Lawrence; grandchildren Lynn Hamer, Logan Hamer, Cole Hamer, Nicholas Kazmierczak and Julia Kazmierczak; sister Virginia Clayton of Yardville; and brothers Harry F. Hamer of Trenton and Edward F. Hamer of Indiana.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Ave., Princeton.

Julienne Winarsky
Former Princeton resident
SOMERSET Julienne Winarsky died Friday at Central New Jersey Jewish Home of the Aged. She was 81.
Born in Newark, she was a Newark resident for 61 years and a Princeton resident for 20 years, moving to Somerset four months ago.
For 15 years she was manager of Van Photo in Newark, her late husband’s picture service that provided photos for several newspapers and businesses.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from Parson’s College in New York City.
She was a member of the Ladies Eastern Star of Newark.
Wife of the late George Winarsky, she is survived by daughter Babette Fisch of Union; sons Ira Winarsky of Gainesville, Fla., and Norman David Winarsky of Princeton; sister Frieda Feller of Highland Park; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
Cary K. Bremer
Registered nurse
MONROE Cary Kennedy Bremer died Friday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 82.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Bremer lived in Rocky Hill and Princeton before moving to Monroe in 1996.
She was a registered nurse at the Trenton State Prison for 10 years, retiring in 1984. Previously she was a private duty nurse and also was employed by hospitals in Princeton, New Brunswick and Trenton.
Wife of the late Harry Bremer, she is survived by daughter Carol Walters of Edmonds, Okla.; sons Harry J. of Denver, Colo., and William C. of Trenton; sister Lilly B. Agar of Rocky Hill and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Private services were by the Lester Memorial Home, Jamesburg.
Margaret A. Toomer
Former Montgomery resident
HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP Margaret Alice Toomer died Thursday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. She was 84.
Born in Chatham, Va., she lived in Hopewell and Montgomery townships more than 60 years.
She attended Hopewell public schools and worked with the Montgomery Township Election Board for many years.
She was a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church of Hopewell, where she was an organist, secretary and chairwoman of the Deaconess Board for many years. She was chairwoman of the District and Diocese Deaconess Board of First Born Church of the Living God and a member of its hospitality club.
Daughter of the late Ellis and Pearl Coles, wife of the late John C. Toomer, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jean Toomer of Montgomery; adopted son Leroy Whaley and wife Julia; grandchildren Ann-Marie Brigil and husband Marcus of Newport News, Va., Sharon L. Toomer of Midlothian, Va., and Stephanie R. Toomer of West Orange; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Grace Cathedral Fellowship Ministries, 1217 Calhoun St., Trenton, with Elder Lonnie Reed, pastor of Solid Rock United Pentecostal Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
