George J. Kuchinski
George J. Kuchinski, 80, died Friday at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Lawrenceville 15 years.
During World War II, he served with the Third Army in Europe under the command of Gen. George S. Patton Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Aldona B. Kuchinski; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and Tom Carroll of Pennington and Alice Kuchinskas of Long Beach, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Katie, Peter, Eileen, Asher and Nathaniel.
Funeral Liturgy was celebrated Tuesday at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Pennington.
Burial was in Pennington Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington.
Margaret M.V. Gaydos
Margaret M.V. Gaydos, 82, died Saturday at Stanford Court Convalescent Center, Santee, Calif. Born and raised in Trenton, she lived in San Diego, Calif., 45 years.
She graduated from Trenton State College with a degree in secondary education and received a master’s degree in education from Rutgers University. She taught in Hamilton and San Diego schools. She was an English resource teacher for senior high English in the San Diego School District, was on the National Advisory Board of "Literary Calvalcade," a scholastic magazine, and supervised "Quest," a creative writing magazine for San Diego students. She contributed to "Aegis," a poetry and prose magazine, and was president of the Beta Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She coached award-winning students in the National Forensic League and helped send a "senator" and a "representative" to the National Student Congress.
Daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Kall Gaydos, she is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Merzbacher of San Diego, Calif., and Irene G. and Walter G. Anderson of Hopewell Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Irvin A. and Gloria Gaydos of Pittsgrove; four nephews, James Merzbacher and wife Marlene, Jeff Merzbacher and wife Carrie, David L. Anderson and wife Belinda, and Robert Gaydos; four nieces, Susan Dujardin and husband Yves, Sally Dobson and husband Gary and Nancy Warner-Chmel and husband Patrick, and Carol Lee; and nine grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Therese’s Church, San Diego, Calif. Entombment will be in Madonna Mausoleum, Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
