MANVILLE John Ulicny died Sunday, March 17, at home. He was 88.
Born in Lakewood, Ohio, he divided his time between Long Branch and Hollywood, Fla., for many years, before moving to Manville in 1989.
Mr. Ulicny was a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 802 of New York, Local 655 of Miami, Florida and Local 399 of New Jersey. He was a multi-talented professional musician and toured extensively with a variety of bands for over 50 years, including Benny Goodman Orchestra and others.
He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Raritan.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Ulicny; and a brother, Albert Ulicny, who died in February.
Surviving is a sister-in-law, Theresa Ulicny of Manville.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were handled by Ketusky Funeral Home.
