On the afternoon of March 15, five boys were spotted walking along the railroad tracks at South 10th Avenue. The police were called and said they found two of the teen-agers to be in possession of small amounts of marijuana. In addition to possession of controlled dangerous substance, the two were charged with trespassing on the railroad tracks. They were released to their parents’ custody. The other three boys were released without any charges filed.
The arrests came on the heels of the March 14 arrest of two Manville High School students on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
At 8:50 p.m., the two 17-year-old boys were observed acting suspiciously in the parking lot of Reading Cinema, the police said. A search netted what appeared to be a marijuana pipe. The two were released to their parents’ custody.
