offers 4 scholarships
Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown, has announced that two scholarships are offered by its alumni association.
Two 2002 Graduating Student Scholarships of $500 will be available to members of the 2002 graduating class, as well as graduates of the December 2001 class. The money will go toward continued education at a post-associate level.
Two Youth Opportunity Scholarships of $500 will be available to Monmouth County high school seniors who will attend Brookdale full time (12 credits or more) during the fall semester.
Nominations for scholarships must be made by April 3. Call the alumni association at (732) 224-2705.
‘Spring Mardi Gras Luncheon’ March 23
The Little Silver PTO will hold its "Spring Mardi Gras Luncheon" March 23 at 11 a.m. at the Sheraton Eatontown Hotel, Route 35. Tickets are $30 per person.
The event will feature a chance auction, a 50/50 raffle and fashions provided by Stacy Gemma, The Grove at Shrewsbury.

Musical drama at church to begin on March 23
The First Assembly of God, 220 Sycamore Ave., Shrewsbury, will present Very Early in the Morning: A Full-Length Play About the Suffering, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ at 7:30 p.m. March 23, 24 and 29-31. There is no charge for admission, and a free-will offering will be taken.
The two-hour play is performed by the Good Foot Players of the church.
