Elizabeth L. "Betty” Shea, 95, died Wednesday, March 27, at Tandem Health Care of Lawrenceville.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong resident of the city’s Chambersburg section until moving to the nursing home 11 years ago.
She worked with the state for more than 38 years as an accountant with the Department of Institutions and Agencies. She retired in 1964.
She was the second oldest member of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Trenton. She was a longtime member of its Ladies of the Blessed Sacrament and Immaculate Conception Senior Citizens.
Daughter of the late James and Catherine Nihill Shea, she is survived by a cousin, Adrian Nihill of Glen Head, N.Y.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 540 Chestnut Ave.
Burial will be in the family plot at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, and 8:30 a.m. until the Mass Wednesday at the church.
