Flight 93 tape will be played in Princeton for relatives

Relatives of the 40 passengers and crew members who died in the Sept. 11 crash of United Flight 93 will gather in Princeton this month to hear recordings of that flight’s cockpit recorder, according to the FBI.
The Boeing 757 went down near Pittsburgh after passengers apparently foiled an attempt by hijackers to pilot the plane to Washington, D.C.
Todd Beamer, who reportedly rallied the passengers with the exclamation, "Let’s roll," lived in Cranbury. This will be the first time the National Transportation Safety Board, which investigates airline crashes, has granted a request from victims’ families to listen to cockpit recordings, according to published reports.
FBI Special Agent Sandra Carroll said the session will take place on April 18, but its location has not been determined. It will be open only to victims’ family members, she said.
Agent Carroll could not comment on why government officials had chosen Princeton as the location for the session.
