Charles D. Olchvary, 52, died Sunday, March 31, after she was hit by a car 8:48 that morning while walking his dog on Possum Hollow Road near the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Born in New Brunswick, he resided in East Brunswick before moving to Monroe two years ago.
He was employed as an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Co. in East Brunswick.
His daughter, Jill Olchvary, died in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, the former Judy Kwon; a son, Ross Olchvary of North Brunswick; his parents, Charles and Rose (Bodnar) Olchvary of East Brunswick; a sister, Linda Lavanco of East Brunswick and two stepsons, Edward Pawlikowski of Piscataway and Ronald Pawlikowski of Vienna, Va. He is also survived by his former wife, Joann Olchvary of Forked River.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 4, at Selover Funeral Home in North Brunswick, followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick. Burial followed at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.
