BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP

Scott Campbell, 18, of Bordentown was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
On March 12, Sgt. Michael Crawford saw a 1994 green Ford driving erratically on Route 130 south, police said. Sgt. Crawford turned on his car’s interior camera to record the driver swerving in the lanes and then stopped Mr. Campbell’s vehicle, police said.
Sgt. Crawford noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana when he approached the Ford and observed that Mr. Campbell’s movements and speech were slow and deliberate, police said.
When the officer asked Mr. Campbell if he had been smoking marijuana, he replied that he had just returned from a home where others were smoking, but that he had not, police said.
Sgt. Crawford searched the car and found two rolled cigar blunts in the ashtray and detected burnt marijuana in both, police said. Mr. Campbell’s car was towed.
Mr. Campbell was later released and his case is pending further court action, police said.
FLORENCE

Police said John M. Bauman of Florence was issued a summons for careless driving after his vehicle struck a utility pole on Route 130 south near Delaware Avenue.
Police said the 1997 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Mr. Bauman was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
Mr. Bauman was transported to Rancocas Valley Hospital in Willingboro for treatment of head injuries and was released, said police.
Police said the driver stated he had bent over to pick up a cellphone when the collision occurred.
