Eleanor May Vaneekhoven Mifflin, 82, of Lawrence died Thursday, April 4, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
She was a cafeteria worker for Hamilton public schools.
She was a member of Groveville Senior Citizens Club and Groveville United Methodist Church.
Daughter of the late Frank and Frances Lovett Vaneekhoven, wife of the late Howard H. Mifflin Sr. and sister of the late Frank and Richard "Dick” Vaneekhoven and Margaret Griener, she is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law, Roy and Diane Snow of Hightstown, Howard H. Jr. and Sheila Mifflin of Fulton, N.Y., Frank Mifflin of East Windsor, Russell and Lillian Mifflin of Lawrence, with whom she lived, and Richard and Lisa Mifflin of the Groveville section of Hamilton; three brothers, William Vaneekhoven of Citrus Heights, Calif., James Vaneekhoven of Bordentown Township and Robert Vaneekhoven of Groveville; four sisters, Doris Tilley of Columbus, Jean O’Conner of Yardville, Erma Young of Groveville and Audrey Sacks of Benton, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, with the Rev. Melva Matlack, pastor of Wrightstown Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Groveville Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until service at the memorial chapel.
