Ferdinand K. Grant, 83, died Saturday at home.
Born in Trenton, he lived in Lawrence before moving to Beach Haven West in 1992.
He was a member of VFW Post 3022 and a past member of Slackwood Volunteer Fire Co.
He retired in 1982 after 34 years as a maintenance man with Star Porcelain, Trenton.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European campaign for four years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Longmore Grant; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul T. and Christina Grant of Lawrence; a daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Chet Williams of Lawrence; two sisters, Alice Emery and Florence Henderson of Lawrence; a grandson, Paul Jr.; a cousin, Marie Hayden; and several nieces and nephews.
