Lions, chamber causes

The East Brunswick Lions Club and the East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Friends of the South River Men’s Club and Accountants for the Public Interest, will hold their sixth annual golf outing May 29 at Bunker Hill Golf Club, Griggstown section of Franklin.

Entry fee is $95 and includes greens fees, electric cart, light brunch, beverages, dinner and awards. Sponsors are sought. Entry deadline is May 10.

Youth photo and poetry

contests slated at library

Kids for Kids, a volunteer group of young people at the Monroe Township Library, is sponsoring youth photography and poetry contests with a patriotic theme at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza.

The photography contest is for young people ages 5-13. Entries should not be in a frame. The poetry contest is open to youngsters ages 8-13. Entry forms are available at the library. Deadline for submissions is May 10. Only one entry per person for each contest.

All photos and poems will be on display at the library during the month of June.
