County offers backyard
composting seminars
The Middlesex County Division of Solid Waste Management will offer free backyard composting seminars at 10 a.m. on May 4 at the East Brunswick Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, and at 6:30 p.m. on May 9 at the John F. Kennedy Library, Piscataway.
The seminars will offer county residents information on how to reduce waste and improve their soil by composting yard waste and kitchen scraps in their own back yards.
Participants may pick up pre-purchased compost bins at the seminars. Bins range in price from $5-$30 each. Purchase is optional.
Admission is free. Registration is required.
