George A. Franklin
George A. Franklin, 57, died Saturday at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton. Born in Red Bank, he lived in Pennington.
A veterinarian, he owned Stony Brook Animal Hospital for 25 years. He was a graduate of Lafayette College where he was active in Theta Delta Chi; and the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School. Mr. Franklin was a member of the American Veterinary Association, Rotary and Pennington Presbyterian Church.
Son of the late Jenny Robertson Franklin, he is survived by his father and spouse, George A. Sr. and Shirley Nordfords Franklin of Convent Station; his wife, Patricia Bronow Franklin; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Garrett A. of Hoboken and Gordon A. and Christine L. Franklin of Hanover, Pa.; a daughter, Leslie K. Franklin of Pennington; and a brother and sister-in-law, Malcolm G. and Susan Franklin of Pennington.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, with the Rev. William McQuoid, pastor of Pennington Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery Chapel, Ewing.

Marie Grunert Wilcox
Marie Grunert Wilcox, 85, died Saturday at Saint Mary Medical Center, Middletown, Pa. Born and raised in Bristol, Pa., she was a longtime Pennington resident.
Mrs. Wilcox had a long career working for Cointreau Ltd. and Prince Manufacturing, Lawrence. She had worked as a merchandiser for JC Penney Co. at the Quaker Bridge Mall until 1993. Mrs. Wilcox did volunteer work for people with Alzheimer’s disease. She enjoyed gardening and operated an azalea nursery for many years. She collected history, gardening, cooking and poetry books.
Wife of the late Harry M. Wilcox Sr. and mother of the late David, Bonnie and Russell Loughlin, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and John Muniz of Toms River and Barbara and Bill Moyer of Levittown, Pa.; a sister, Ella Haverson of Newtown, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, including Robert Wiley.
Memorial service was held Wednesday at Emilie United Methodist Church, Levittown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a book, preferably on gardening or poetry, be donated in her memory to the donor’s local library.
