Job fair to be held
at Lakewood library
Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and the Puerto Rican Action Board are joining together to host a job fair May 11, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lakewood library, 301 Lexington Ave. Immediate openings are available at Six Flags and on-site interviews will be conducted. Employees are sought for the following areas: security, grounds, food service, ride operators, merchandise, games and attractions. All positions include paid training. Senior doubles tennis program to be offered
A Senior Doubles Tennis program will be conducted by the Ocean County Parks and Recreation Department on Wednes-days, May 15 through June 19. The class will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon and will be held at Ocean County Park, Route 88, Lakewood. Players will be matched with partners. The fee is $10 for the season and includes a luncheon social on June 19. Advanced paid registration is required for this program. Call (732) 506-9090 for more information.
Lakewood chamber
to host golf outing
The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce will hold its ninth annual golf outing on May 16 at Colts Neck Country Club, Colts Neck. Chairpersons of the event are Stanley Federowicz and Victor Sbailo, First Union Bank. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the chamber’s scholarship fund and mentoring programs. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.; a barbecue buffet lunch will begin at noon. Shotgun start will be at 1 p.m. The cost of the outing is $185 per golfer and will include greens fee, carts, driving range, putting green, prizes, a golfer gift bag, lunch and dinner buffet. Summer fun camp
to be held at park
The Lakewood Recreation Department will sponsor a six-week Summer Fun Camp at Pine Park in Lakewood starting July 1 and running through August for children ages 3-8. The camp meets Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon, and is under the direction of certified staff and is open to residents and nonresidents. Activities will include arts and crafts, nature walks, lunch, games, special events and more. The camp will be held at the Ella G. Clarke School on inclement weather days. Open auditions to be held at college theater
The Ocean County College Theatre Company will be holding open auditions for its summer production of Dial M for Murder, by Frederick Knott, on May 20 -21 at 7:30 p.m., with callbacks taking place on May 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center Theatre, Toms River. Parts are available for five males and one female for this production, which will be presented July 11-14 and July 18-20.
