MARY PARADOWSKI JAKUBOWSKI, 86, of East Brunswick died May 7 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Jakubowski, and by a son, Leon Jakubowski. Surviving are two daughters, Louise Zelenkow and Lee Harrington, both of East Brunswick; a son, Walter Jakubowski of East Brunswick; a brother, Jon Paradowski of Edison; a sister, Leona Casagrandre of Highland Park; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

SAMUEL KIRSCH, 94, of East Brunswick died May 10 in Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, Franklin. His first wife, Shirley, died in 1958, and his second wife, Betty, died in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Joel B. of East Brunswick and Harvey S. of Englewood, Colo.; a sister, Tillie Rosenthal of Glen Cove, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edison Jewish Community Center.

HERBERT "HERBIE" DONALD KRONEMEYER, 74, of North Brunswick, formerly of Milltown, died April 25 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are three sons, Dennis, Bruce and Scott Kronemeyer; two daughters, Dawn and Dianne; a brother; two sisters; and 10 grandchildren. BENJAMIN SANDLER, 74, of East Brunswick died May 8 at home. His wife, Margot Sandler, died in 1979. Surviving are a son, Richard Sandler of South River; a daughter, Jodi Sandler of East Brunswick; a brother, Edward Sandler of Florida; two sisters, Norma Schneider of Florida and Lorraine Dachman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, South Brunswick.

ANNA SHWAHLA, 99, of Howell died May 7 at home. Her husband, Steven, died in 1986, and a son, Steven, died in 2001. Surviving are a son, Paul of Howell; a daughter, Mary Shwahla of Howell; two sisters, Helen Holland of Lakewood and Olga Norkus of Manasquan; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services were held at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery.

MARVINA JENSEN NIELSEN, 94, of Matawan, formerly of Sayreville, South River and Milltown, died May 7 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Her husband, Albert Nielsen, died in 1969. Surviving are a son, Mel Nielsen of Saratoga, N.Y., and three grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.

MARGARET GIBBONS MALUTA, 58, of East Brunswick died May 8 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Frank Maluta; four daughters, Jessie Dlugosz and Margaret Ervin, both of Old Bridge, Loretta Dlugosz of Spotswood and Debbie Breese of Sayreville; a stepdaughter, Fran Kohler of Barnegat; two sisters, Mary Gibbons of Jamesburg and Cathy Director of Helmetta; three brothers, Joseph Gibbons, Richard Gibbons and John Gibbons; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.

LILLIAN A. SZEBENYI of East Brunswick died May 7 in Old Bridge Manor. Her husband, Joseph J. "Sweeney" Szebenyi, died in 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Lillian A. "Ginger" Zdep of Milltown; a brother, James Pall of Las Vegas; a sister, Julia Kamenz of North Brunswick; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Peter’s Church, New Brunswick. Interment was in the church cemetery.

ROSE MARIE PALUMBO ZUCCARO, 87, of Monroe, formerly of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died May 6 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Her husband, Frank J. Zuccaro, died in 1990. Surviving are a son, Frank J. Zuccaro of Monroe; two daughters, Shirley Carney of the Morganville section of Marlboro and Judith Marcy of Edison; two brothers, Anthony Palumbo of the Toms River section of Dover and James Palumbo of Barnegat; two sisters, Mary Persico of Sunrise, Fla., and Connie DeFeo of Fair Lawn; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Entombment was in Clover Leaf Memorial Park Mausoleum, Woodbridge.

KATHLEEN M. OSOWSKI, 32, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died May 6 as the result of injuries sustained when accidentally struck by a train in South Amboy. Her mother, Anne Donahey Osowski, died in 1993. Surviving are her father and stepmother, Michael W. and Molly Osowski of Edgewood, Ky.; her fiancé, Eliot B. Cabot of Brooklyn; a brother, Michael D. Osowski of Katy, Texas; her parental grandparents, Walter and Lorraine Osowski of the Parlin section of Sayreville; her maternal grandparents, Harold and Anne Donahey of New Port Richey, Fla.; and a nephew. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1034 Salem Road, Union, NJ 07083.

KASNA KATSCHANSKY ROTH, 58, of Melbourne, Fla., died May 2 in Regional Medical Center, Melbourne. She was predeceased by her husband, Ira Roth. Surviving are a son, Joseph McLaughlen of Elmwood Park; a sister, Alla Volodzko of Paterson; two nephews, Michael Volodzko and Konstantin Volodzko; and a niece, Nina Volodzko. A service was held at St. Euphrosynia Belarus Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery.

EMERSON W. JONES JR., 76, of South Amboy died May 8 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. His wife, Eleanor Wicks Jones, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, Emerson W. Jones III of South Amboy; two brothers, Harold Jones of Virginia and Robert Jumper of Binghamton, N.Y.; three sisters, Florence Noon of Moscow, Pa., Catherine Hoinski of Plains, Pa., and Lori Reppard of Binghamton; his stepfather, Elwood Jumper of Binghamton; his stepmother, Eleanor Jones of Mertztown, Pa.; and a granddaughter. Services were held at Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. Interment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville section of Marlboro.
