To the editor:
This Sunday, May 19, two parents of Ethel McKnight School students spent the entire day beautifying the school grounds. They arrived early in the morning and were still there at 7 p.m. that evening. This was not a PTA activity, just parents who cared about their student’s school. Many of the perennials planted were from their own gardens. This type of school spirit needs to recognized and commended.
As a past Ethel McKnight School PTA President as well as a parent of two McKnight alumni I would like to thank you for your efforts. Showing pride in our school grounds demonstrates to our children that volunteering, caring and hard work are also part of education.
Thank you, Mrs. Nicklaus and Mrs. Williams. The place looks great!
