Thomas E. Schlottfeld, 57, died Friday, June 21, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Sayreville more than 30 years and Monroe for 10 years before moving to Lawrence two years ago.
Mr. Schlottfeld retired after 25 years as a regional manager with the Division of Disability, Determination and Service for the state Department of Labor in Newark and New Brunswick.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, Sayreville.
He was a swimming official for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association.
He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Peddie School Golf Association, Hightstown and Trenton District Golf Association.
Son of the late August Schlottfeld, he is survived by his wife, Nerissa Lau Schlottfeld; his mother, Catherine Jurkiewicz Schlottfeld of Sayreville; a brother, Jack of Sayreville; and a nephew, Michael Schlottfeld of Sayreville.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, from Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin.
Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church.
Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.
Calling hours will be 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the funeral home.
