The National Park Service will hold a series of meetings to allow the public to comment on its findings in a study of Revolutionary War places in New Jersey.
The Crossroads of the American Revolution study, which is now available on the Web at www.nps.gov/crossroads, will be presented at the following:
Wednesday, Aug. 14, 7-9 p.m., Fort Lee Historic Park, Visitors Center Auditorium, Hudson Terrace, Fort Lee;
Monday, Aug. 19, 7-9 p.m., Edison College, Kelsey Building, Prudence Hall, 101 W. State St., Trenton;
Tuesday, Aug 20, 7-9 p.m., Camden County Public Library, Rohrer Library, 15 MacArthur Blvd., Westmont.
At these meetings, spokespersons for the National Park Service will present a summary of findings and explain the impacts of a National Heritage Area designation under the Crossroads of the American Revolution program.
The study includes discussions of alternatives for protecting historic places and resources, education and heritage celebration. It also addresses a variety of approaches for determining heritage area boundaries.
Following a presentation at the meetings, the public will be encouraged to comment on the study, its recommendations and future actions, the National Park Service said.
