The New Jersey Region of Women’s American ORT is offering nine different Jewish New Year 5763 card designs and two different Hanukkah card designs.

The cards come with one free line, 35 letters or spaces, of inside personalization and the Hebrew lettering for L’Shanah Tovah. For an extra charge, cards may contain additional lines of personalization or a corporate logo. Envelopes with colored liners and back flap return address personalization also are available for an extra charge. Discounts are offered for orders of more than 25 cards; there are additional discounts for orders of 1,000 or more cards.

Women’s American ORT is a nonprofit organization. Profits from the sale of all cards sold will benefit the ORT network of vocational and technical schools in the United States, Israel and around the world.

Band parents offering

Great Adventure tickets

The Sayreville War Memorial High School Band Parents Association is offering Great Adventure tickets at discount prices.

Daily theme park tickets cost $37 for adults, $29 for children; daily Hurricane Harbor tickets, $27 for adults, $23 for children; theme park or Hurricane Harbor season passes, $75. Discount meal tickets are available for $8.50.

Proceeds will benefit the marching unit.

Crohn’s, colitis panel

seeks walk participants

The New Jersey Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is seeking walkers for its 10th annual 5K Pace Setter Walk, set for Sept. 15 on the Belmar boardwalk.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. The walk will begin at 10 a.m. Walkers who bring $50 or more in donations the day of the event will receive a free CCFA T-shirt. Refreshments will be served, and prizes will be awarded.

Proceeds will benefit CCFA’s research, education and support programs.

Spotswood VFW plans

’50s Dance for Sept. 7

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4589 and its Ladies Auxiliary will hold a ’50s Dance from 7 p.m. to midnight on Sept. 7 at the post home, 33 Daniel Road, Spotswood.

The event will feature music by the Jersey Shades, food and liquid refreshments. There will be contests for best ’50s couple, best jitterbuggers and best twisters; ’50s-style dress is optional.

Donation is $18 per person.
