Five chambers will hold
business card exchange
The chambers of commerce of East Brunswick, Edison, Metuchen, Perth Amboy and Woodbridge will hold a Five Chambers Business Card Exchange from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 5 at the Raritan Yacht Club, 160 Water St., Perth Amboy. The event is sponsored by Maid of Perth Antiques.
Cost is $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers. Participants should bring a door prize and business cards.

franchising seminar
SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) Chapter 14 and Raritan Valley Community College will co-sponsor a free franchising and business-buying seminar from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the college, North Branch section of Branchburg.
Instructor will be Jack Armstrong, president of Franchising Network of New Jersey.
Fee is $25 and includes materials and tuition. Each participant will receive a copy of the book Starting and Managing Your Own Business in New Jersey.

slates meeting, election
The East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting and board of directors meeting on Sept. 4 at the East Brunswick Chateau, Cranbury Road. Networking is set for 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:45 p.m.
The event will feature election of officers, election of directors, a preliminary budget review and suggestions for and a discussion of plans for the coming year.
