Robert L. Schragger
WASHINGTON Robert L. Schragger, 74, of Robbinsville died Friday, Aug. 23, at home.
Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Trenton area resident.
He was a 1945 graduate of Hamilton High School West, attended Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, New York University and was a 1955 graduate of Rider University.
Mr. Schragger was a self-employed certified public accountant and had previously worked for the IRS in Newark and PriceWaterhouse in New York City. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and member of American Legion Post 31 and VFW Post 3525.
Son of the late Edward M. Schragger and Dorothy L. Applegate, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce A. DeMatteo Schragger; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert E. Schragger of Burlington and John J. and Faith F. Cust Jr. of Stanton; a daughter, Roxanne Cust of Marlton; three sisters, Peg MacNeil of Mercerville, Mary Swing of Tempe, Ariz., and Karen Kline of Hamilton; a brother, John Applegate of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren, John J. III, Kevin K. and Michael R. Cust and Matthew Higgins.
Cremation was private.
Arrangements were by Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.

Robert C. Case
LAWRENCE Robert Clifford Case, 65, died Aug. 4 at Capital Health System at Fuld hospital, Trenton.
Born in Trenton, he lived in Hopewell most of his life before moving to Lawrenceville in 1987.
Mr. Case worked several years with the family-owned Case Pork Roll Co. Inc., Trenton, and retired in 1992 from General Motors Corp., Ewing. He most recently worked with National Auto Parts Supply Co., Rocky Hill.
He served with the New Jersey Army National Guard from 1958 to 1965 and was a former member of Trenton Country Club and Yardley Country Club.
Son of the late Clifford L. and I. Theodosia Case and father of the late Douglas Robert Mauer Case, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joann Mauer Case; a daughter, Janelle Mauer Case; and two grandsons, Kyle Douglas and Jonathan David, all of Lawrenceville; a sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne L. and William Black of Robbinsville; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral was private.

Charles O. O’Hagan
PLUMSTED Charles O. O’Hagan, 64, died Thursday, Aug. 22, at home.
Born in Cream Ridge, he was a lifelong area resident.
He was an U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. O’Hagan was a heavy equipment operator for Mercer Wrecking. He was a charter member of the New Egypt Elks and AMVETS in Jackson.
Son of the late Jennie O’Hagan, brother of the late Don and James O’Hagan and father-in-law of the late Dean Weingart, he is survived by his wife, Marion; three daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy and Michael Donahue of Monmouth Junction, Dawn Weingart of Robbinsville and Kelli O’Hagan of New Egypt; a son, Jeff Hawthorne of New Egypt; his father, Stanley O’Hagan of Cream Ridge; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Stanley and Joan O’Hagan of Texas, Terry and Sue O’Hagan of Florida and Thomas O’Hagan of Browns Mills; four granddaughters, Krystin, Michelle, Kimberly, Deanna; and several nieces and nephews, uncles and cousins.
Funeral was at Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St., New Egypt, with the Rev. George Simmons officiating.
Burial was in Jacobstown Cemetery.
Steven A. Ferry
WASHINGTON Steven A. Ferry, 17, of Robbinsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Steven was a graduate of Sharon Elementary School, Pond Road Middle School and a student at Lawrence High School. He was a sports car enthusiast and was involved in BMX racing and street hockey. He loved alternative rock music, surfing the Internet, video games, and exotic pets.
Grandson of the late Frank A. Grieb and Elizabeth and Donald J. Ferry, he is survived by his parents, father Donald J. Ferry Jr. of Robbinsville, mother June R. Ferry and her fiance and his stepfather, Roque Wilson of Robbinsville; a brother, Donald J. Ferry III of Robbinsville; his maternal grandmother, Ruth I. Grieb of Oakland, Md.; two stepbrothers, Roque Jr. and Erich Wilson of Jackson; aunts and uncles, Diane and Matt DeVito of Bordentown, Barbara and Vince Turner of Mercerville, Frank and Sue Grieb of Trenton, Mark and Linda Grieb of Trenton and Cheryl and Jimmy Birchenough Jr. of Yardville; many cousins; his girlfriend, Candi Niezgoda of Lawrence; his best friend, Jeff LaManna of Robbinsville; and many close friends and relatives.
The funeral was from Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, with the Rev. Suzanne Schafer-Coates officiating.
Burial was in Princeton Memorial Park.
A memorial scholarship will be established in Steven’s memory in the near future.
Beverly A. Hewitt
FLORENCE Beverly A. Thomas Hewitt, 55, died Friday, Aug. 23, at her sister’s home in Burlington Township.
Born in Allentown, she was a lifelong Roebling and Florence area resident.
She worked 25 years with the state Department of the Treasury, Office of Management and Budget, in Trenton. She loved animals and enjoyed going to the Jersey Shore.
Daughter of the late Albert W. and D. Betty Berger Thomas and mother of the late Jaime M. Hewitt, she is survived by a sister, Peggy L. Thomas of Burlington Township; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert W. and Suzanne Thomas of Sturbridge, Mass., and Tom and Donna Thomas of Trenton; aunts and uncles, Jack and Helen Berger of Florence and Maryann and Francis Shukausky of Ashland, Pa.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral was at Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence, with the Rev. Robert S. Turton, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church of Roebling, officiating.
Burial was in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling.

Kendall Harding Bergh Jr.
HOLIDAY, Fla. Kendall Harding Bergh Jr., 34, died Saturday, Aug. 17, at home.
Born in Atlantic City, N.J., he lived in Allentown, N.J., before moving to Florida four years ago.
Son of the late Joanne Travaglini Blaisdell and brother of the late Herman Wunsch, he is survived by his wife, Denise Bergh; his son, Kendall Richard Bergh; and his daughter, Amanda Pierson, all of Holiday; his father, Kendall Harding Bergh Sr. of Texas; his stepparents, Richard and Marion Blaisdell of Robbinsville, N.J.; two brothers, Charles Blaisdell of Lawrenceville, N.J., and Bruce Blaisdell of Jackson, N.J.; five sisters, Candice Ohler of Bordentown, N.J., Betty Breault and Christine Rodney of Pennsylvania, Susan Long of Vineland, N.J., and Cindy Ruffo of New Gretna, N.J.; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at Hartmann Funeral Home, 2830 Nottingham Way, Mercerville, N.J.
Burial was in Princeton Memorial Park, Washington Township, N.J.
Ruth M. Idell
PLUMSTED Ruth M. Idell, 72, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, at home.
Born in New Egypt, she was a lifelong resident and a homemaker.
Wife of the late George Idell and daughter of the late Theodore and Edith Bell, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Robert Cleveland of New Egypt; a son and daughter-in-law, George Jr. and Elizabeth Idell of Wrightstown; two sisters, Janet Albertson and Vivian Goff of Wrightstown; five grandchildren, Angela Trczynski, Richard Fulmer, Cynthia Alexander, George D. Idell and Michael Cleveland; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was at Jacobstown Cemetery, Schoolhouse Road, with the Rev. Norman Eckley officiating.
Arrangements were by Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt.
James Smith
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. James "Jesse" Smith, 54, died Sunday, Aug. 18, in Santa Cruz.
A native of Cream Ridge, N.J., he moved to Santa Cruz more than 20 years ago, where he was known as Jesse James in the music scene.
He was a decorated Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Son of the late Paul and Gloria Smith and brother of the late William, he is survived by a son, Nicholas James Smith; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Paul and Ernie and Joan Smith; and a sister, Gloria Mills.
Arrangements were by Santa Cruz Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
Eileen Majewski
STAFFORD Eileen Majewski, 56, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin.
Born in Trenton, she lived in Hamilton and Washington townships before moving to Manahawkin a year ago.
She worked 28 years with the state Division of Motor Vehicles and six years with the Office of the Attorney General in Trenton.
She is survived by her husband, James; three sons, Christopher of Bath, Maine, Mark of Pennsauken and Stanley and fiancee Nancy; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dominick Maltese of Caldwell; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Walter Smith of Mercerville; a grandson, Reid; a niece, Andrea; and a nephew, Daniel. Funeral was at Maxwell Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin.
Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin.
