Spotswood Public Library
will sponsor book sale
The Spotswood Public Library, 548 Main St., will host a used book sale during regular library hours, Aug. 31-Sept. 17.
Hardcover books, paperbacks, children’s books, audiocassettes and videocassettes will be available.
Paperbacks will sell for 25 cents, audio books for $1.50, videos for $2.50. Most hardcovers will sell for 50 cents, but there will be a selection of special books offered at slightly higher prices.
An All-You-Can-Carry for $5 sale is set for the last day of the sale.
All proceeds will benefit the library and its programs.

Monroe temple to host
American Jewish talk
"Outstanding Americans Jews in Medicine" will be the topic of the next installment in the American Jewish Experience Lecture Series set for 10 a.m. on Sept. 9 at the Congregation Etz Chaim-Monroe Township Jewish Center, 11 Cornell Ave.
Guest speaker will be Dr. Joseph T. Cohn, a family practice physician in Highland Park. The lecture series is a project of the Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey.
Admission is free. The public is welcome.

Jewish War Vets offer
‘Entertainment’ books
Jewish War Veterans Post No. 133, New Brunswick, will offer Entertainment 2003 books at Eber’s Travel, 43 W. Prospect St., East Brunswick.
Middlesex County and Monmouth County books cost $30 each. The New York City edition is available for $20.
Proceeds will benefit the Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Healthcare System (Lyons Hospital), Lyons section of Bernards, New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Menlo Park, and other veterans charities.

county 4-H tricky tray
Donations and prizes are sought for the Middlesex County 4-H Association annual tricky tray set for Oct. 25 at the 4-H Log Cabin, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. First call is set for 7:30 p.m., unless there is a full house prior to that time.

Connors to be honored
as Rosarian of the Year
The Rosary Altar Society of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, MacArthur Avenue, Sayreville, will honor Helen Connors as Rosarian of the Year at its 21st annual communion breakfast to be held after the 9 a.m. Mass on Oct. 6.
Guest speaker will be Brother Dennis Wermert, S.C.
