Ridgway Sr.

   FLORENCE — David O. Ridgway Sr., 80, died Aug. 27 at home.
   Born in Florence, he was a longtime resident.
   Mr. Ridgway worked several years with Crescent Wire Co. and retired after 22 years as a maintenance worker for Johnstone Training Center in Fieldsboro.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II.
   He was a member of Fountain of Life Center and an accomplished artist.
   Husband of the late Mary Santino Ridgway, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald D. and Gloria Ridgway of Delair and David O. Ridgway Jr. of Florence; two grandchildren, Jason and Apryl Ridgway; two brothers, Nelson and Earl Ridgway of Florence; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
   The funeral was held at Dennison Funeral Home, Florence, with the Rev. Edward Vetkoskey of Fountain of Life Center officiating.
   Burial was in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Florence.

Ralph W. Rice

   MANSFIELD — Ralph W. Rice, 76, died Aug. 28 at Virtua-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County in Mount Holly.
   Born in New York City, he lived in Hicksville, N.Y., before moving to Columbus.
   Mr. Rice was a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked 20 years with the New York City Police Department, retiring in 1969 as a first grade detective.
   After retiring he was a credit card fraud investigator with Eastern States Bankcard Association from 1969 to 1993.
   He is survived by his wife, Mary Moran Rice; four children and their spouses, William and Jannell Rice of West Warwick, R.I., Barbara Ellen and Kenneth Robinson of Northford, Conn., Robert and Cynthia Rice of Franklin Lakes and Caryl Anne and Robert Ehalt of Shelton, Conn.; and nine grandchildren.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Burlington.
   Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
Herbert C.

Hillman Sr.

   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — Herbert C. Hillman Sr., 69, died Aug. 30 at Capital Health System at Mercer hospital, Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident before moving to Bordentown six years ago.
   Mr. Hillman was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He retired from AAA Trucking Corporation in 1986 after more than 30 years.
   Son of the late Rudolph and Mildred Robbins Hillman, husband of the late Dolores P. Hillman, father of the late Herbert C. Hillman Jr. and brother of the late William, Robert, Donald and Richard Hillman, Nancy Elsesser and Barbara Grezenda, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Beverly Hillman of Trenton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and William Graves and Dorleen and Denny Stevens of Morrisville, Pa., and Lorrie and Roman Ozimek of New Canaan, Conn.; a stepdaughter, Ivy Bartuswicz of Trenton; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Lucille Bartuswicz, formerly of Trenton; 13 grandchildren, Herbert, Jeffery, Jenna, Justin, Zorida, Jennifer, Vanessa, Lauren, Amber, Russell, Danielle, Lucille and Christine; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Gabrielle and Dylan; six sisters and a brother-in-law, Evelyn Rose of Trenton, Joan Fabrizo of Florida, Freda Clark of Texas, Patricia Phillips of Pennsylvania, Audrey Leese of Robbinsville and Carol and Alessio Mendicino of Yardville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Ruth Hillman and Hanx and Joann Hillman of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Mary Collins of Trenton; and other relatives and friends.
   The funeral was held at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel, Hamilton, with the Rev. Jan Koczera, associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Square, officiating.
   Entombment was in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 58 Mill St., Mount Holly, NJ 08060.
   Arrangements were by Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square.
Virginia G. Cranmer

   BORDENTOWN CITY — Virginia G. Cranmer, 77, died Aug. 27 at The Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in Bordentown, she was a lifelong Burlington County resident.
   Mrs. Cranmer was a retired bookkeeper and member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
   Wife of the late Donald Cranmer, she is survived by two sons, Bruce Cranmer of California and Donald Cranmer of Wisconsin; a daughter, Pat Staump of California; six grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held from Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown, with the Rev. Richard D. Collins officiating.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.

Edward J.

DeBosky Jr.

   COLUMBUS — Edward J. DeBosky Jr., 83, died Aug. 30 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Columbus, he lived in Mercerville for 31 years before moving to Columbus 14 years ago.
   He was a movement director for Amtrak in New York, retiring in 1983 after 36 years.
   He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served aboard the USS Intrepid.
   He was a member and former exalted ruler in 1972 of Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085.
   He was also a member of the United Methodist Church of Columbus.
   Son of the late Edward J. Sr. and Alice Scarborough DeBosky and father of the late Louis T. Maressa, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lucy Polumbo DeBosky; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph J. and Janice Maressa of Ewing; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Maressa of Yardville; five grandchildren, Jodie Ann Petrik, Tammy Keifer and Louis T. Jr., Michael Edward and Jolene Maressa; and four great-grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Cassandra and Kendra.
   Memorial service will be 4 p.m. on Sept. 5 at the Columbus Methodist Church, Main Street, with the Rev. Ronald Sager officiating.
   Arrangements are by Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown.
Reuben Moskovitz

   EWING — Reuben Moskovitz, 86, died Sept. 2 at Greenwood House.
   Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Borentown 20 years and Ewing 12 years before recently moving to Whiting.
   Mr. Moskovitz owned Rednob Department Store, Bordentown, for 35 years before retiring.
   He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
   Son of the late Meyer and Anna Moskovitz and father of the late Rayna Moskovitz, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Kraun Moskovitz; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel of Tempe, Ariz., and Alan and Paula Moskovitz of Murphysboro, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharen and Lloyd Friedman of Whiting; a brother Norman of Philadelphia; and a grandson, David Moskovitz.
   The funeral was held at Ahavath Israel Cemetery, Hamilton.

Esther M. Hamilton

   TRENTON — Esther M. Hamilton, 81, died Aug. 28 at Millhouse Nursing Home.
   Born in Fieldsboro, she was a lifelong resident until moving to the nursing home six years ago.
   She had worked with the state Division of Pensions and Retirement as a keypunch operator and was a member of Fieldsboro United Methodist Church.
   She is survived by a brother and two sisters-in-law, William E. and Mae Hamilton of Bordentown Township and Doris Hamilton of Waretown; and nieces and nephews.
   Services were private.

Ernest E. Klotz

   SOUTHAMPTON — Ernest E. Klotz, 52, died Aug. 26 at Virtua West Jersey Hospital, Marlton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Cookstown resident before moving to Southampton three years ago.
   Mr. Klotz was a custodian for the Medford school system. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
   Husband of the late Donna Klotz and brother of the late Richard, Robert, Frank and William Klotz and Carol Wiley, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and James Rockhill of Mount Holly; a son, Daniel E. Klotz of Columbus; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Carl J. Jr. and Janet Klotz of Bordentown and Ronald Klotz of Titusville; a sister, Marie Hanson of Columbus; two sisters-in-law, Lois Klotz of Southampton and Lois Klotz of Levittown, Pa.; three grandchildren, Kate, Jimmy and Caroline Rockhill; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
   Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
