FOSTER ELMORE "SAM" SLADE, 63, of the Perrineville section of Millstone died Sept. 1 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, he had lived in Freehold before moving to Millstone. He was a traffic analyst for the National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Md. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a graduate of Freehold High School and the University of Maryland. He is survived by five brothers, Richard, Howard and Kevin, all of Freehold, Al of Missouri, and Desmond of Jackson; a sister, Alyce Dziedziech of Smithtown, N.Y.; and two aunts and an uncle, Mary Ryan of Limerick, Ireland, and Rodger and Therese Ryan of San Jose, Calif.

ESTELLE LOIKO, 82, of Staten Island, N.Y., died Aug. 28 at Carmel-Richmond Nursing Home, Staten Island. Born in New York City, Miss Loiko had lived in Freehold before moving to Staten Island 30 years ago. She was a registered nurse at various Veterans Administration hospitals. She was a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a nurse in England, France and Germany during World War II. Miss Loiko is survived by a cousin, Alexander Levchuk of Millstone. The Rev. William Frederickson officiated at the funeral service, which was followed by. interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
