Ocean County Parks Dept. to offer golf lessons
The Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation will be conducting golf lessons for ages 16 and over this fall. The lessons will include fundamentals of the swing, short game, putting, rules and course etiquette. Participants are asked to bring a seven and a nine iron to the first class. Classroom discussion will be held on rainy days. The lessons will take place at the golf area of Ocean County Park, Route 88 in Lakewood, Saturdays, Sept. 14 through Oct. 12. Classes will be held from 8-9 a.m. or 9:15-10:15 a.m. The fee is $30 per person. Advanced paid registration is necessary for this program. For information or to register, call 1-877-OCPARKS, ext. 211.
