WELDON WHITE, 70, of Millstone died Sept. 9 at Community Care Behavioral Center, Freehold. Mr. White was a lifelong resident of the area. Graveside services were held at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.

MICHAEL J. ADORNETTO, 89, of Marlboro died Sept. 5 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Hoboken, he had lived in Jersey City before moving to Marlboro in 1987. Mr. Adornetto was a railroad worker for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad, Hoboken, where he was employed for 50 years before his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro; a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 1509, Lyndhurst; and a member of Deborah Hospital Auxiliary. Mr. Adornetto was predeceased by his wife, Anna, who died in 1999; and a brother, Charles, who died in 2001. Surviving are two sons, Joseph R. of Marlboro and John M. of Howell; a sister, Katherine Elia of Eatontown; and a grandson. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Church, followed by entombment at Forest Green Park Mausoleum, Marlboro. CATHERINE A. LAWRENCE, 83, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 6 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Lakewood, she had lived in Upper Freehold Township before moving to Freehold Township in 1949. Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Siloam Methodist Church, Freehold Township, and a member of the Freehold Township Independent Fire Co. No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Lawrence was predeceased by her husband, Gordon M., who died in 1970. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Miller C. and Frances of Freehold Township; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. The Rev. Lynn Wilson officiated at the funeral services, which were followed by interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
