sets youth movie night
Youth in grades 4-6 are invited to a movie night set for 7-9 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the library at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 90 Leonardine Ave., South River.
The film will be Jimmy Neutron. Popcorn will be served.

Greek wine tasting, food fest to be Sept. 21
St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 41-47 Wisteria St., Perth Amboy, will hold a Greek Wine Tasting and Food Festival from noon to 1 p.m. on Sept. 21.
Wines from various regions in Greece will be showcased.
The event also will feature Greek food and pastries, a Greek boutique and Greek music.
Entertainment will be provided by the St. Demetrios youth dance troupe.

S.R. historical society
plans Sept. 25 meeting
The South River Historical and Preservation Society will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Old School Baptist Church Museum, 64-66 Main St.
Guest speaker Suzanne Buffalino, who designs and sews historical costumes, will offer a presentation on her creations.
The museum is open from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of every month.
N.B.-Milltown VFW sets
fish dinner for Sept. 20
North Brunswick-Milltown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2319 will hold a fish fry dinner from 5-8 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the post home, 45 Broad St., Milltown.
Participants will have a choice of broiled or fried fish.
Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children; add 50 cents for takeouts.
