invited to enter contest

All amateur photographers, both adults and township youngsters in grades 1-12, are invited to submit photos for the annual amateur photography contest sponsored by the East Brunswick Division of Recreation, Arts Commission and the Raritan Photographic Society.

Photo enthusiasts may deliver color and/or black-and-white photos to the rec office, 350 Dunhams Corner Road, from Oct. 28-Nov. 1. Limit is three photos in each category.

Specific rules for each age level are available at the East Brunswick Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, and at the rec office.

Members of the Raritan Photographic Society will conduct the judging from 2-5 p.m. on Nov. 3. The public is invited.

Polish Dinner-Dance

to benefit Holy Trinity

St. James Knights of Columbus Council No. 6336, Jamesburg, will hold its second annual Polish Dinner-Dance from 8 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 5 at the Holy Trinity Church Parish Center, Main Street, Helmetta. All proceeds will benefit the church.

The event will feature dinner, including homemade Polish food, roast pork, beer, wine and soda. Music will be provided by the Dennis Ostopowicz Orchestra. A cash bar will be available. La Leche League of S.R.

slates monthly meetings

La Leche League of South River, a support group for expectant and nursing mothers in Middlesex and Monmouth counties, will hold its monthly meetings at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 and 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 2 at the South River Library, 55 Appleby Ave.

Topic will be "A Time To Learn." Babies, mothers and mothers-to-be are welcome. The group shares information on parenting and mothering choices with mothers in East Brunswick, South River, Spotswood, Monroe, Jamesburg, Old Bridge, Sayreville, Matawan and Aberdeen.
