   Laura M. Ford, 91, of Trenton, died Sunday in the Capital Health System at Fuld.
   Born in Trenton, she had been a life long area resident.
   Mrs. Ford was the alterations supervisor for Nevius-VoorheesDepartment Store in Trenton. She retired after 46 years of service.
   Daughter of the late John N. and Clara Gillmer Wert, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marion and John Flesch of Lawrence; a niece and her husband, Clare and William Sevok of Columbia, Md.; and two cousins, John Kauffman of Free Union, Va., and Kathleen Richkind of New Mexico.
   The funeral will be held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, with the Rev. David Spruance of the Central Baptist Church officiating.
   Burial will be in the Ewing Cemetery.
   Friends may call today from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Olga Elizabeth

Muskewitz
   Olga Elizabeth "Betty" Muskewitz died Monday at the Mercerville Center, Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, she was a longtime Lawrence resident.
   Mrs. Muskewitz had been co-owner of Lawrence Road Florist when it was operated by the Gronert family.
   She was a graduate of Rider College, and a member of Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club 2 and North Trenton American Legion Post 458 Senior Citizens Club.
   Daughter of the late Carl and Augusta Betz Gronert, wife of the late Alfred W. Muskewitz Sr. and mother of the late Dean Muskewitz, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred Jr. and Marlene Muskewitz of Lawrence and Ronald B. and Roberta Muskewitz of Ewing; a daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Donald Thoms of Forked River; seven grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lois Gronert of Lawrence and Flo Gronert of Sparks, Nev.; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral will be 11 a.m. today, Thursday, from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road.
   Entombment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum, Hamilton.
   Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Shirley Ann Laarz
   Shirley Ann Laarz, 67, died Saturday at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
   Born in Doylestown, Pa., she lived in Ewing.
   She was a 1953 graduate of Trenton Central High School. She retired after 25 years as a state police firearms investigation nit supervisor.
   Daughter of the late Charles and Maude Rahr Wynne, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, Donald H. Laarz; three daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy Laarz of Robbinsville, Darlene Laarz of Lawrence and Donna M. and David Winkler of Bordentown; five grandchildren, Traci L. Camiso and husband Richard, Jamie Kownacki, Richard D. Gramlich, Alissa and Erika Winkler; a sister, Esther Bonczek of Browns Mills; nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
   Funeral will be private at Knott’s Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 S. Broad St., Hamilton.
   Burial will be in Whitemarsh Cemetery, Prospectiville, Pa.
   There will be no calling hours.

Graham S. Cragg
   Graham S. Cragg, 77, died Sept. 15.
   Born and raised in Edmonton, Canada, he was a pilot in the Royal Navy during World War II.
   After the war, he came to the United States to pursue an education in mathematics at the University of Michigan, where he received bachelor’s and master’s degrees and won two national ice hockey championships.
   He then moved to the Detroit area and began his career as an educator at Grosse Pointe Country Day School. He met and married his late wife, Barbara Cole Cragg, and moved the family to New Jersey in 1969 to continue his career in education at Princeton Day School. He retired in 1988 after 38 years of teaching.
   He loved children, enjoyed sports and was an avid coach and referee.
   He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Melinda and Dan Challener, Christine Cragg and Sarah and Terence Johnson; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven Cragg and Kim Zimmerman and Kevin Cragg; grandchildren Brandon, Skye, Dakota, Henry and Campbell; and nieces and nephews.
   An open house to commemorate his life will take place in the spring.
   Arrangements are by Kimble Funeral Home, Princeton.
Frank Blanchard
   Frank Blanchard died Sept. 18 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Clarion, Pa., he lived in Lawrence 45 years before moving to Cream Ridge three years ago.
   He was a retired production planner with U.S. Steel Corp., National Tube Division, Falls, Pa.
   He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
   Mr. Blanchard was a member of the Church of the Assumption, New Egypt, and its Holy Name Society, a trustee of St. Michael Catholic Church, Trenton, and was an evangelical minister there before moving to Cream Ridge. He was a member of VFW Post 3022, Lawrenceville, and enjoyed playing dominoes with his friends.
   He is survived by his wife, Florence Solack Blanchard; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Dean Larson of Browns Mills and Cynthia and Jerrold Brecko of Pennington; two sisters and a brother, Alberta FaJohn and Eleanor Eggelston, and Clyde Blanchard Jr., all of Richmond, Va.; a special sister-in-law and her husband, Rosemary and Ed Oltarzewski of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three grandchildren, Damion Larson of Port Charlotte, Fla., Lance Cpl. Jerrold Brecko Jr., USMC, of Camp Lejeune, N.C., and Michael Brecko of Pennington; and a great-grandson, Justin Larson of Port St. Lucie.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at the Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Joseph Farrell officiating.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.

Stanley J. Boron
   Stanley J. Boron, 78, died Sept. 19 at Meridian Hospice, Brick.
   Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Park Ridge before moving to Manchester in 1982.
   Mr. Boron was an internet technology executive with Esso Standard Oil in Bayway 14 years. He previously worked 24 years with IBM Corp.
   He graduated from Seton Hall University and served with the Navy Seabees in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a golf and tennis coach for the Special Olympics and participated in the 1991 International Special Olympics in Minnesota.
   He is survived by his wife, Genevieve Kaczorowski Boron; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Boron of Jupiter, Fla., and Gregory and Susan Boron of Ridgewood; two daughters and a son-in-law, Eileen Boron of Andover, Mass., and Denise and Edward De Loca of Lawrence; and seven grandchildren, Gregory, Christopher, Catherine, James, Nicole, Matthew and Meghan.
   Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 300 Center St., Lakehurst.
   Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.

Charles Simone
   Charles Simone, 81, died Sept. 18 at home in Lawrence.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He was owner and operator of Simone’s Service Station and car dealership in Lawrenceville. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, past deacon and founding member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and a member of the Trenton Cyprus Masonic Lodge 5, Pennington, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Trenton AAONMS where he was a 32nd degree Mason, Trenton Shrine Club and Colonel Emeritus of the Crescent Temple Shrine Uniformed Units.
   Son of the late Angelo and Santina Aleo Simone, brother of the late Mildred Fruscione, Rose Lumia, William, Joseph and Samuel Simone, he is survived by his wife, Frances Dellaira Simone; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Charles B. and Victoria Simone; two daughters, Dr. Jill B. Simone and Dr. Cheryl L. Simone, both of Lawrence; two grandchildren, Nicole L. Simone and Charles B. Simone II; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Jeanette Seamon of Ewing and Michael Simone of Ewing; two sisters, Mary Szymelewicz of Ewing and Grace Lavis of Hamilton; a brother-in-law, Angelo Fruscione of Lawrence; a sister-in-law, Mary Seamon of Lawrence; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was Saturday at Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing. Services were at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 471 Parkway Ave., Ewing. Entombment was in Ewing Mausoleum.

John P. Bernabe
   John P. Bernabe, 80, died Sept. 17.
   Born in Somerville, he was a lifelong borough resident and a graduate of Somerville High School. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
   Mr. Bernabe worked 22 years with General Services Administration in Belle Meade as a building manager. He also worked 15 years with American Cyanamid, Bound Brook.
   He was a member of the Church of St. Ann in Raritan, its Festa committee, St. Ann’s Golden Age and the 100th year celebration committee. He helped prepare for the John Basilone Parade and was a former member of the Holy Name Society, past president of the Raritan Seniors and a coach for Raritan Recreation Department. He was a member of the Raritan Democratic Club, Raritan Post War and a mayoral appointee to the Raritan Planning Board.
   He was a 52-year member of Raritan Fire Department, serving as chief and past president. He was a third degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 1432 and member of VFW Post 1748 and American Legion Post 280 in Raritan and Somerville Elks Lodge. He was secretary of the State Fireman’s Exempt Association and Raritan Election Board.
   He enjoyed traveling.
   Son of the late Rosa and Alfonso Bernabe, husband of the late Lillian Bernabe and brother of the late Joseph and Maurice Bernabe, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Ellen Bernabe of Lawrence and Gary and Patricia Bernabe of Hamilton Square; four grandchildren, Brian, Meghan, Michael and Catherine; a brother and sister-in-law, Angelo and Marie Bernabe of Raritan; and two sisters-in-law, Ester Bernabe of Raritan and Julia Bernabe of Bridgewater.
   Funeral was Saturday at Church of St. Ann, 45 Anderson St., Raritan. Entombment was in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Route 28, Bridgewater.

Dorothy M. Tindall
   Dorothy M. Tindall, 95, died Sept. 16 at Morris Hall, Lawrence.
   Born in Holmesburg, Pa., she lived in West Windsor before moving to Morris Hall.
   Mrs. Tindall was a secretary with Stults Realty in Cranbury, retiring in 1983 after 12 years.
   She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, where she was a session member and deacon. She also was a member of West Windsor Volunteer Fire Co. 1 Ladies Auxiliary, West Windsor Historical Society, the Hearing Society of Central New Jersey and Keenager Club of West Windsor.
   Daughter of the late Raymond and Lillie Croshaw, wife of the late Malcolm S. Tindall and mother of the late M. Bruce Tindall, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia T. and Stanley Tantum of Lawrence and Marilyn and Boyd Bergen of Houston; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Barry S. and Sara Tindall of Falls Church, Va., and Wayne R. Tindall of West Windsor; eight grandchildren, Robin Carter, Debra Kuser, M. Bruce Tantum of New York, Scott and wife Patti Bergen, Brian and wife Melissa Bergen, Amy Bergen, Melissa and husband Jay Oakes and David Tindall; three great-granddaughters, Juliana Kuser, Carrie Oakes and Sage Bergen; and two nieces, Nancy Frenick and Carol Sethi.
   Funeral was Friday at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, with the Rev. Floyd Churn, pastor of Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.

Rocco Calderone
   Rocco "Rocky" Calderone, 83, died Sept. 17 at Hamilton Continuing Care Center.
   Born in the Eldridge Park section of Lawrence, he was a lifelong resident.
   Mr. Calderone retired as a mill worker from Acme-Hamilton Manufacturing Co. in 1979.
   He served with the 88th Army Infantry Division in Europe during World War II and received the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for gallantry in action during the Italian Campaign. Mr. Calderone was a member of American Legion Post 414 of Lawrence.
   Son of the late Matteo and Maria Massi Calderone and husband of the late Margaret Tassone Calderone, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew J. and Linda Calderone of Morrisville, N.C., and Robert A. and Marjorie Calderone of Lawrence; a sister, Mary O’Brien of Whiting; three grandchildren, Christopher, Allison and Leslie Calderone; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was Sept. 19 at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road.
   Burial with military honors was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.

Patricia Serlenga
   Patricia A. Demech Serlenga died Sept. 17 at home in Albrightsville, Pa. She was 66.
   She was the daughter of Patrick S. and Mary Demech of Morrisville, Pa. She was the mother of Daniel Serlenga of Ringoes and the sister of Ralph Demech of Lebanon. She was a graduate of Morrisville High School and Rider College in Lawrenceville. While in college, she was president of the Zeta Epsilon sorority. She worked as a medical secretary and a child study team secretary.
   Daughter of the late Patrick S. and Mary Demech of Morrisville, Pa., she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Cheryl and Hans Arzt of Chesterfield; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel L. and JoAnn Serlenga of Ringoes; five grandchildren, Kara and Joshua Serlenga, Brian, Matthew, and Christopher Arzt; a sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Elwyn Wittenborn of Lawrence; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Camille Demech of Lebanon; brother-in-law, Lewis and Barbara Serlenga; sisters-in-law, Esther Veselka, Carmel Szypulski and Mary and Gene Field, Doris Serlenga; wife of the late Jim Serlenga, and Josephine Serlenga; wife of the late Wedie Serlenga, all of N.J. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews, Jill Duffy, Tracy Toth, Bonnie Kubida, Shelly Carr, Debbie Ford, Rosemarie Serlenga, Barbara Pope, David Wittenborn, Patrick Demech, Michael, Louis, Matthew and Jason Serlenga, Marty Veselka, James and David Serlenga and Billy Szypulski.
   Funeral services were held Friday at Morrisville United Methodist Church.

Monsignor James S. Foley
   Monsignor James S. Foley, 95, died Sept. 15 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in New Brunswick, he attended St. Peter’s Catholic School. He spent two years at St. Charles College, Catonsville, Md., and six years at St. Mary’s Seminary, Baltimore.
   Ordained in 1932, he assisted at St. Joseph’s Church, Camden, for four years and St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy, for almost six years. In 1941, he was pastorate at St. Thomas Church, Old Bridge; St. Mary’s Church, South River, and Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. In 1945, he became pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Mount Holly. He started a mission at St. Andrew’s Church, Jobstown, and helped build a large grammar school and social hall in Mount Holly.
   Monsignor Foley was pastor of St. Mary’s Church, Perth Amboy, during the 1950s and Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head, during the 1960s. He assisted at St. Mary’s Church, Bordentown, before entering Morris Hall three years ago. He was a priest more than 70 years.
   He enjoyed golf, tennis, fishing and swimming.
   Son of the late James and Christina Holzworth Foley and brother of the late John and Mary Foley, Catherine MacNair and Margaret Fleming, he is survived by a sister, Christina Keefe of New Brunswick, and nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday at St. Mary’s Church. Burial was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
