Applications for rec

grants offered in E.B.

Applications are now being accepted from East Brunswick organizations that provide recreational and leisure activities within the township and are seeking funding support from the East Brunswick Recreation Grant program.

Representatives of any group that has not previously participated in the program should pick up an application at the Division of Recreation, 350 Dunhams Corner Road, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays.

Deadline for submissions is Nov. 1.

‘Alice in Wonderland’

to be staged at Villagers

The Villagers Theater and Kidsville Productions will present a production of Alice in Wonderland at noon on Oct. 5, 6, 12 and 13 at the Villagers Theater, 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset section of Franklin.

The play, adapted from the classic story by Lewis Carroll and directed by high school students, will offer audiences an interactive experience.

Tickets cost $6. The Villagers is a nonprofit center for the performing and cultural arts.

E.B. Hadassah to offer

feng shui presentation

East Brunswick Hadassah will hold a meeting at 8 p.m. on Oct. 3 at the East Brunswick Jewish Center, 511 Ryders Lane.

The topic will be "Controlling Chaos Through Organization and Feng Shui." Presenters Mary Jane Gagliano and Shelley Mengo, certified western feng shui practitioners, will discuss how to identify clutter, why we collect clutter, an uncluttering plan and storage solutions. According to feng shui principles, clearing the flow of energy around the home or workplace will allow an individual to feel direct benefits.

Rock’n Wish Sunday

scheduled for Oct. 6

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, a nonprofit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, will sponsor its eighth annual Rock’n Wish Sunday from 3 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 6 at Connie’s, Route 35 south, Sayreville.

The event, which is cosponsored by the Middlesex County Association of Realtors, will feature live continuous music by several bands, food and door prizes.

Admission is $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
