JEANNE C. BASTIER (née SCHOENHARDT) of Freehold died Oct. 3 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Staten Island, N.Y., for many years before moving to Freehold four years ago. Mrs. Bastier was a telephone operator and secretary for the Willis Caroon Insurance Co., New York City. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Carroll. Mrs. Bastier is survived by her husband, Henry; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Carroll of Browns Mills, and Kevin and Cathy Carroll of Saratoga, N.Y.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Anthony Plutino of Perrineville, Elizabeth and Jamie Green of Gansvoort, N.Y., and Ellen and Scott Russell of Liverpool, N.Y.; two brothers, Donald and John Schoenhardt; a sister, Miriam Nichols; and eight grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island.
