Halloween dance set for
Oct. 26 at Sp’wood VFW

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4589 and its Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Halloween dance from 7 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 26 at the post home, 33 Daniel Road, Spotswood.

Costumes are optional. Donation is $15 and includes buffet, refreshments and live music.

N.B.-Milltown VFW sets

fish dinner for Oct. 25

North Brunswick-Milltown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2319 will hold a fish fry dinner from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the post home, 45 Broad St., Milltown.

Participants will have a choice of broiled or fried fish.

Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children; add 50 cents for takeouts.

Nov. 17 rummage sale

Congregation Anshe Emeth of South River, 88 Main St., will hold a rummage sale from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the temple.

A variety of merchandise including clothing, toys, knickknacks, household items and more will be available.

Elks slates basketball

contest for youngsters

East Brunswick Elks Lodge No. 2370 will sponsor a Basketball Hoop Shoot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the Raritan Valley YMCA, 206 Dunhams Corner Road, East Brunswick.

Winners will advance to the district, state and national levels.

Corpus Christi to offer

Halloween family night

Corpus Christi School will hold a Halloween Spooktacular Family Night from 6-9 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the school, 80 David St., South River.

The event, which is open to the public, will feature a DJ, a costume contest and refreshments.

Admission is $5 per adult, $2 per student; youngsters age 4 and under will be admitted free of charge. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Vendors sought for

Nov. 9 holiday mart

Vendors are sought for the Presbyterian Church Holiday Mart set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the church, 100 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick.

The event will feature handmade crafts, homemade baked goods, knitted/crocheted items, plants, attic treasures and more.

Refreshments will be sold. Free on-site parking will be available. Vendor space rental fee is $20.
