The Old Country Buffet and Hometown Buffet restaurant chain and the Spotswood Public Library will sponsor an Eager Reader Award program to help celebrate Children’s Book Week, Nov. 18-24.
Youngsters ages 3-13 may come to the library, 548 Main St., and pick up an entry form. Each child will then draw a picture or write a report about a library book. Upon returning the entry, youngsters will receive an award certificate along with a gift certificate for a complimentary child’s meal at either the Old Country Buffet or Hometown Buffet.
All entries must be received by Nov. 14 and will be displayed throughout the library during Children’s Book Week.
The contest is limited to one entry per child, one certificate per child. Each youngster or family must have a Spotswood Library card.

Separated, divorced
group slates meetings
Passages, a nondenominational, self-help group for separated and divorced adults, holds meetings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesdays at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 505 Main St., Spotswood.
The organization, which offers small discussion groups and weekly social outings, is designed to provide emotional support to individuals going through the pain associated with separation and divorce and help them find the answers to get on with their lives.
A $3 donation is requested.
