Editor to discuss ‘U.S.News’ college rankings

Brian Kelly, managing editor of U.S.News magazine’s "America’s Best Colleges and Best Grad Schools," will present "How U.S.News Picks the Best Colleges in America (and Why You Shouldn’t Take Us Too Seriously)" Nov. 13, 7:30-9:30 p.m., at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft.

Kelly is a graduate of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School and earned his bachelor of arts degree from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. He is now the managing editor for the "Money & Business," "Culture and Ideas," and "Diversions" sections of U.S.News. His earlier career included congressional editor of The Washington Post, a position that included coverage of Capitol Hill and political campaigns. He also served as deputy editor of the Post’s Sunday opinion section, "Outlook." he has also written several books.
