MAJOR WEAVER, 85, of Howell died Oct. 27 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Bullock County, Ala., he had lived in Freehold before moving to Howell 33 years ago. Mr. Weaver was a construction laborer before his retirement. He was a former member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold. He was predeceased by his wife, Ollie Mae Holloman Weaver, in 2000. Mr. Weaver is survived by a son, Benjamin Sr. of Cream Ridge; a daughter, Amanda Goodson of Alabama; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, followed by interment at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
SAMUEL FREEMAN, 84, of Sayreville died Oct. 26 in Bartley Care Center, Jackson. His wife, Stella Siarniak Freeman, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, David Freeman of Millstone; four daughters, Mary Ann Welch of Richmond, Va., Barbara Kuzma of Lakeland, Fla., Patricia Beddows of Tequesta, Fla., and Lori Freeman of Kansas City, Mo.; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.
