Veterans Day ceremony set in East Brunswick

The township of East Brunswick’s annual Veterans Day observance will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Veterans Park in the municipal complex, Jean Walling Civic Center. Rain location will be the East Brunswick Senior Center.

An informal reception for participants and spectators will take place at the Senior Center immediately following the ceremony.

The ceremony, an annual observance hosted by the township and the East Brunswick Veterans Alliance and sponsored by the East Brunswick Division of Recreation and Community Services, will honor the men and women who served in the military.

Participants in the 45-minute program will be Mayor William Neary; Rabbi Hillel Gold of the East Brunswick Jewish Center; the East Brunswick Police Bagpipe Unit; the John Basilone Detachment of the Marine Corps League’s Color Guard and Firing Detail Salute Unit; Joan Hartman, president of East Brunswick Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 133 Ladies Auxiliary; and the East Brunswick Community Chorus. Guest speaker will be Col. Richard P. Fink of the 78th Training Division, U.S. Army.
