Gladys Nickerson Edling, 94, died at her home Friday.
Born in Delaware, she was a lifelong Hopewell resident.
She was a 1931 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and taught at the Hopewell Grammar School.
She was a homemaker most of her life and officer in the Hopewell Garden Club.
Wife of the late Richard H. Edling, sister of the late Earl Nickerson and daughter of the late Franklin and Annie Nickerson, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard H.F. and Eleanor Edling; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Richard J. and Barbara Jean Edling; and four great-granddaughters, Ashley, Corrine, Carli and Alexis; two sisters, Mildred Whitford and Frances Gurka; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be private at Highland Cemetery, with the Rev. George Lynch, interim pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.
