FREEHOLD — Six men were arrested when officers from the Freehold Borough Police Department, the Freehold Borough and Freehold Township Joint Investigative Team, the New Jersey State Police and the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office recovered substances that appeared to be cocaine and marijuana at two borough residences.
According to Freehold Borough Police Capt. Michael DiAiso, two search warrants were issued and were executed simultaneously by law enforcement officials at 7 p.m. Jan. 3.
Arrested at a residence on Avenue A was a 17-year-old male from Freehold Township who was charged with possession of under 50 grams of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) believed to be marijuana. According to the captain, he was processed and released to his mother.
Also arrested at the same location was Michael Glover, 41, of the borough, who was charged with possession of under 50 grams of CDS believed to be marijuana and on an outstanding warrant for $9,587. DiAiso said Glover was committed to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township.
Andre Williams, 26, of the borough, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of CDS believed to be marijuana, as was Johnny Clark, 45, of the borough. Both men were processed and released.
At the same time, a residence on Bowne Avenue was under search warrant execution. DiAiso said Brian Crooms, 33, of the borough, was arrested and charged with possession of CDS believed to be cocaine, possession of CDS believed to be marijuana, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a weapon during a crime.
According to the captain, Crooms was committed to the Monmouth County jail in default of $5,550 bail.
Also arrested at the Bowne Avenue location was Otis Williams, 47, of the borough. Williams was charged with possession of under 50 grams of CDS believed to be marijuana. He was processed and released.
