MANVILLE Edmund Zabawa died Jan. 16 in Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was 64.
Born in Somerville, he lived in Manville all his life.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Zabawa worked for Manville Borough for 38 years, retiring as superintendent. After his retirement, he worked for the Farmers Co-op in Belle Mead for five years.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
He was very active in the town of Manville.
Surviving are his wife, Lucy (DeMarco) Zabawa of Manville; a son, Edward of Franklin Park; two daughters, Diane Grundman of Franklin Park and Donna Russo of Brick; his grandchildren; and his mother, Stephanie Zabawa of Raritan.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from Bridgewater Funeral Home, Bridgewater, followed by a funeral liturgy in Sacred Heart Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.
