Contracts awarded for Planning and Zoning Board positions.

Contracts for the recording secretary, board attorney, professional planner and traffic consultant for the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment gained Township Council’s approval at its conference meeting Tuesday night.
The Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment hired a recording secretary, the board attorney and the planning and traffic consultants at their respective reorganization meetings earlier this month. Township Council must award the contracts so that the professionals may be paid.
Township Council awarded a contract to Sara Summiel of Trenton to serve as the recording secretary for the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment. She will be paid up to $13,000 for both boards.
Township Council awarded a contract to attorney Arthur Sypek, Jr., of the Hamilton Township law firm of Teich, Groh, Frost & Zindler to serve as the Planning Board attorney. He will be paid up to $48,500.
The council awarded a contract to attorney Marc Citron of the law firm of Saul, Ewing, Remick & Saul of West Windsor Township to serve as the Zoning Board of Adjustment’s attorney. He will be paid up to $42,000.
Township Council awarded two contracts to the planning firm of Clarke Caton Hintz of Trenton to serve as the planning consultant for the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The firm will be represented by Philip Caton.
Clarke Caton Hintz will be paid up to $110,000 for its work as the Planning Board’s planning consultant, and up to $30,500 to serve as the Zoning Board of Adjustment’s planning consultant.
The council also awarded two contracts to Charles Carmalt of Lawrence to serve as the traffic consultant for the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment. He will be paid up to $15,000 for his work for the Planning Board and up to $10,000 for his work for the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
