Families enjoy best of country living and convenience at Creekview

Burlington County community offers a parklike neighborhood single-family homes surrounding Monarch Lake

It’s one thing to like your home. It’s another thing to like it so much that you decide to become a sales associate in your community.
That’s exactly what happened to Kathy Rosevelt after she purchased her home at K. Hovnanian’s Lakeside at Creekview. An administrative assistant at the community, she’s studying to be a realtor so she can sell homes. And the homes at Lakeside at Creekview are homes she approves of.
Ms. Rosevelt and her husband, Joe, moved into Lakeside recently, drawn there by country feeling at this lakeside neighborhood while still being close to everything. As she went through the home-buying process, she became more interested in the community and helping to sell it. But it wasn’t a job that brought her to Lakeside originally. It was the homes and value she and her husband discovered there that led them to buy a home.

"Joe
Joe and Kathy Rosevelt recently moved to K. Hovnanian’s Lakeside at Creekview. The Rosevelts chose the Henley Elite model, a four-bedroom home with three full baths and a two-car garage.

"We loved the lake," she said. "We like sidewalks, but here you feel like you’re in the country, even though there are sidewalks. When you pull in here, you feel like you’re in a nice neighborhood."
Ms. Rosevelt said the family had moved to Mount Laurel a year or so earlier. They didn’t like it because it was "house on top of house," she said. When they began looking again, they came upon Lakeside. They were impressed with the friendliness of the people, and the winding streets with pretty homes. Ms. Rosevelt said Lakeside seemed to offer the best of all worlds.
"When you leave here, you can turn left and be in the farm country," she said. "Take a right, and you can jump on Route 38 and go wherever you need to."
The Rosevelts chose a Henley Elite, a four-bedroom home with three full baths and a two-car garage. The home offers almost 4,000 square feet of living space, including a formal living room and dining room, a study, a family room with a fireplace, and a kitchen with a breakfast nook.
The kitchen is a favorite room for the Rosevelts. Mr. Rosevelt does the cooking and chose the custom options. Those included upgraded counters and cabinets.
"I used to be in his way when I tried to help," Ms. Roosevelt said. "Now I can help and not be in his way."
Upstairs, the Henley Elite offers a spacious master suite with a tray ceiling and a large sitting room. Two walk-in closets and a bathroom that includes a shower and a soaking tub are part of the suite.
Of equal importance to the Rosevelts, the Elite Option includes two bedrooms connected by a full bath. A fourth bedroom has its own full bath. Ms. Rosevelt says the combination of two rooms with a private bath will allow her to offer her children a place of their own within her home when they get married, perhaps as early as in the next several years. That, she hopes will enable the couple to save money for a home nearby, and perhaps she’ll be able to sell it to them.
   K. Hovnanian’s Lakeside at Creekview is a parklike neighborhood of 279 single-family homes surrounding Monarch Lake. Walking trails meander through the community. Although this community feels like it’s in the country, it’s close to every convenience.
For instance, the Cherry Hill and Morrestown malls are close by. If relaxing on the beach better fits the day’s itinerary, the shore is less than an hour away. The community is convenient to Philadelphia, Trenton and Princeton and points beyond because of its proximity to the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 295, and Routes 38, 70 and 206.
Homes here have four bedrooms, two plus baths and two-car garages. Guests are welcomed in majestic two-story foyers with hardwood floors. Nine-foot ceilings give the first floor an increased feeling of roominess. Upstairs, all of the homes offer sanctuary from the daily grind in master suites. Dramatic volume ceilings and spacious walk-in closets make the master suite a practical, but comfortable place to relax. Some models also offer sitting rooms for extra room to read, write or even work out.
Lakeside at Creekview offers six home styles, starting in the low $300s. A variety of options and exterior finishes assure that no two homes look alike, Winding roads and the country appearance give the community picture-postcard streetscapes.
