Montgomery’s Schnur cited for vision and leadership in technology.

MONTGOMERY — School Superintendent Stuart Schnur has received the American Association of School Administrators and Apple Computer Inc.’s President’s Technology Award for Vision and Leadership in Technology.
In February, Dr. Schnur will receive his award at the National Conference on Education in New Orleans. He also will receive an Apple Titanium PowerBook laptop computer, which he will donate to the school district.
"I am truly pleased that the AASA feels my efforts at promoting technology in education are significant." Dr. Schnur said. "I have been extremely fortunate to work in school districts and with individuals who have empowered my efforts to develop educational systems that will be effective well into the new millennium."
He is one of 14 superintendents around the country to receive the award.
"Dr. Schnur has become a keystone in linking the school district to the community at large," said Linda Romano, president of the Montgomery Township Board of Education.
"He has encouraged others in the district to build and develop ties, which have benefited both the school district and the Montgomery Township community. The Board of Education and I agree that he has earned this award and are justifiably proud of his accomplishments."
