Chinese auction

   The Clara Barton School PTO is sponsoring a Chinese auction 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 in the school’s auditorium. Everyone is welcome.
Girl Scouts

   Town and Country Community Girl Scouts mother/daughter event to Disney on Ice will be on Friday, Jan. 31.
   The Girl Scouts are selling cookies until Feb. 18.
   Daisy and Brownie troops will hold a dance-a-thon from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Northern Junior High cafeteria.
   Junior, Cadette and Senior troops will hold a dance-a-thon from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Northern Junior High cafeteria. See troop leaders for more information.
Social dance

   The Widows and Widowers of Burlington County will hold its monthly social and dance from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 at McGrath Hall, Holy Assumption School, Hornberger Avenue, Roebling.
   Light refreshments and music provided by a DJ. Admission $4 for members and $5 for guests. For information call 499-0819 or 298-4475.
Awards dinner

   The Downtown Bordentown Association is holding an awards dinner 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Conti’s Little Flower Restaurant. Cash bar begins at 6 p.m. Jackie Reed, Patti DeSantis and Betty Ann Burke are being honored for their extensive volunteer work benefiting Bordentown. Tickets $25 each with limited seating. Casino trip

   A bus trip to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus 570, will be on Sunday, Feb. 9. Bus leaves for a four-hour stay at the casino from St. Mary’s Church parking lot. Cost is $15 per person with $15 back from the casino. For information call Bob at 298-5530.

   The Clara Barton School PTO is holding a chocolate meeting 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13.
Special education

   Bordentown Regional School District Special Education Program is holding a public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in the high school’s library, 50 Dunns Mill Road, Bordentown. The program is undergoing the state’s self-assessment process designed to assure procedural compliance and program quality for students and is interested in the public’s input. Book group

   The book group will meet 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19 at By the Book, 150 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown to discuss "A Glass Bell" by Anais Nin . All are welcome. For information call Arlene at 298-3334.
Class reunion

   The Bordentown Regional High School Class of 1977 will have its 25-year reunion on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Sheraton Bucks County Hotel, 400 Oxford Valley Road, Langhorne, Pa. Board of education

   The deadline for filing nominating petitions to run for position on the Northern Burlington County Regional Board of Education is 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15. School board candidate kits are available at the local school district office. Scholarships

   The Springfield Township School and Community Education Foundation, Inc. is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating high school student who presently or formerly resides in the community and attended the Springfield Township School District.
