Ashley Ferenc bowled high game (232) and high series (562) to pace the Northern Burlington County Regional High School girls’ varsity bowling team to a 4-0 win at Ewing last Friday. The lanes in which Ewing bowls at are very dry, which played into the hands of NBC’s Jamie Weeks.
"Jamie loves dry lanes. These were dry lanes," said NBC Coach Judy Nuskey, who watched with delight as Weeks rolled games of 169, 185 and 183 for a 537 series.
At the other end of the spectrum, NBC’s Nicole Urig, who prefers oily lanes, rolled a best game of only 135. Heather DiPietro (a 173 high game) and Lori DiPietro (a 168 high game) were not at their best, but they still bowled better than most high school bowlers in helping NBC earn the "W."
Playing on the slick lanes at the Maple Bowl on Tuesday, Nicole Urig had high home (205) and series (557) in NBC’s 4-0 win over Cinnaminson.
"Nicole Urig did an excellent job," added Coach Nuskey.
Heather and Lori DiPietro each posted identical scores of 522 with Heather rolling games of 182, 182 and 158, while Lori posted games of 180, 198 and 144.
Ashley Ferenc, who rolled a 498 series (166, 151, 181) and Jamie Weeks, who posted a 377 series (117, 130, 130) also bowled for NBC. The Maple Bowl, however, is not Weeks’ favorite place to bowl.
NBC is 14-0, but it was scheduled to have bowled against a tough Pemberton team yesterday (Wednesday). On Saturday the NBC girls will compete in the Sectionals at the Super Bowl and on Monday NBC is scheduled to take on Bordentown at Papp’s. This Greyhounds unit is so strong it would beat many boys’ teams.
BOYS

The Northern County Regional High School boys’ varsity bowling team didn’t put up the huge scores it has grown accustomed to producing this past week, nevertheless it won both of its matches fairly easily.
"We kind of had all of our home matches in the beginning of the season so scores will drop once you go on the road," said NBC coach Judy Nuskey.
Yet a bad score for Northern Burlington is a good score for most other teams as Ewing can attest to. Last Friday NBC won a 4-0 decision at Ewing on the strength of Tim Bullus’ high game (244) and Adam Knighten’s high series (a 545 series which featured a top game of 193). Bill Moore (212), Matt Pingitor (185) and Billy Ferenc (198) each rolled at least one excellent game in their series.
In Tuesday’s 4-0 win over Cinnaminson at the Maple Bowl, NBC’s Adam Knighten had both high game (224) and high series (578) for NBC.
   Billy Ferenc posted a 555 series (153, 198, 204) and Tim Bullus recorded a 554 series (204, 177, 173).
"Billy Ferenc was very consistent (165, 161 and 161 for a 487 series)," added Coach Nuskey.
While Matt Pingitor rolled games of 147, 160 and 151 for a 458 series, Adam Reidenbach bowled a 612 series for the junior varsity team. NBC pumped its record to a perfect 14-0. The Greyhounds were scheduled to have bowled at Pemberton yesterday (Wednesday) in a televised match.
NBC is scheduled at Bordentown on Monday. The Greyhound bowlers are already making the necessary adjustments to better their averages on the road, which will come in handy during the state tournament,
