Roberto Pagano, 70, died Sunday, Jan. 26, at home.
Born in Bacoli, Italy, he came to the United States in 1973 and lived in Sayreville for 15 years, Marlboro for seven years and finally in Jamesburg for the past eight years. He was the owner and chef at Dusal’s Restaurant in Monroe for 15 years, retiring in June of 2002. Mr. Pagano was a member of the St. James R.C. Church in Jamesburg.
He is survived by his wife, Assunta; three sons, Antimo of Sayreville and Amedeo and Sennaro, both of Jackson; two daughters, Caterina Kanzler of Bricktown and Elena Illiano of Bayonne; two brothers, Antonio and Nico and two sisters, Maria and Pina Romeo, all in Italy and five grandchildren, Steven, Suzanne, Roberto, Susi and Anthony.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 29, at M. David DeMarco Funeral Home in Monroe. Funeral liturgy followed at St. James R.C. Church, Jamesburg. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
